What should I tell my auto insurance agent?

- Chosen by Voters Insurance follows your vehicle. It does not matter who is driving. They don't have to be listed on your policy. If he was at fault and any liability needs to be paid out, your insurance company may try later to get money from him or his insurance company; but this does not impact you or your claim in anyway. All he needs to know is that you gave a friend permission to drive your vehicle. Obviously if you gave your permission to an unlicensed or excluded driver, there would be a problem. 3 years ago 100% 1 Vote 2 people rated this as good
